ORTHODONTIA FIXED
Orthodontia is a specility of Odonto – Stomatology. It specializes in diagnosing, treating teeth’s deviations and face such as: uneven teeth, hustle teeth, protruding teeth, deep –biting, diagonal biting, open biting, disproportioned teeth, gap –toothed, buck teeth or toothless. Orthodontic treatment requires knowledge and special skills to design, use and control orthodontic tools to move teeth and jaw bone on right location and crate a well – proportioned face.
Why do we need orthodontia?
Everybody wishes to have a nice smile and strong set of teeth. An uneven and hustle teeth is difficult to wash. It doesn’t only make your tooth decay but also gingivitis. The other problems may happen such as wearing out enamel unusually, creating overcharged force to jaw – bone, having trouble with activities of conclusion – mandible joint and it can it can lead to hurt joint, pain in chronic neck and headache. Besides, occlusion doesn’t only reduce chewing ability, occlusion disorderation , it also affects to respiration, blood circulation and pronunciation. Orthodontia will make uneven teeth be regular; jaw – bone and chewing muscle develop rightly. Thus, it will reduce tooth decay, gingivitis and ensure the function of the mouth such as: chewing, breathing, pronouncing and lessen the danger of strauma in teeth
These are kinds of occlusion disorderation that we often use:
1. Two jaws in a right position but on each jaw, teeth are uneven, hustle, revolved or widely – spaced
 
2. Maxilla raises forward or mandible goes backwards (Buck – teeth)
3. Opposite occlusion: Mandible raises towards or maxilla goes backwards (Toothless)
4 . Open – biting , molars touch but incisors are still open .
5 . Deep – occlusion
When biting, upper –teeth cover lower teeth
Orthodontia often applies 2 forms: fix and open or combine.
Fixed orthodontia by brace system:
When starting treatment, brace is worn to teeth and only detaches when finishing treatment.
This orthodontic system consists of these parts: brace is fixed on teeth. Gluey materials or cements thatpaste brace and sew to each other.  Elastics hold bowstring on brace and sew and at the same time create force in string and teeth. Brace sewing and bowstring are made of metal. Now, there are some aesthetic braces made of Composite or porcelain or stone. Elastics may have many colors
Orthodontia by brace system is the most advanced method at present by many strong points such as: correcting exact location of each tooth following three – dimensional space, light force than control not to injure periodontal organization, press against gums or jaw bone.
Open orthodontia :
It is kind of jaw that can assemble to and disassemble easily, freely. It often used to move, adjust an assigned tooth or teeth. In general, assembled jaw has many different forms and effects. The strong point of assembled jaw is quick, cheap, convenient and comfortable for patience when disassembling. However, it has some bad points such as: it is easy to be spoilt and lost and patience doesn’t wear self – consciously so jaw’s treatment ability is restricted. Patience will wear brase everyday and even when sleeping
Orthodontia doesn’t affect much to our life. Normally, you can eat and drink, play sports, sing and stand before public. The largest trouble in orthodontia is lasting treatment period. Orthodontia needs enough time for teeth to move in safe limit. Treatment period depends on age, complicated level, method that applied.
Appointments with patience will be from several weeks to several months and treatment period may last from 6 months to 2 – 3 years. Some special cases can last more.
Orthodontia needs to be carried out continuously until finishing.
When wearing brace, brushing teeth will be more difficult and lose more time. We should pay attention to oral hygiene to avoid tooth decay and gingivitis. Orthodontist can instruct you to use kinds of special toothbrush to dental hygiene.
You shouldn’t eat tough, hard and high gluey food such as: chewing gum, marshmallow that can chip brace and last the treatment period.
